My Patreon is now live!

"What's this for?" I hear you ask. Well, in short - writing resources. I'm sure most of my followers know that I am the author of the original Blank Character Sheet. You know, the one that now boasts over 390 attributes. Well, for one, I've officially moved it. By the time you read this, my old Blank Character Sheet will have been gutted and will only have a link to the new one, a much more streamlined and overall infinitely better version of it. Don't worry, though. If you really like the old one, I'm keeping an archived copy on TheBoson's sta.sh. You can find that [here]. In time, I will also post a reworked Abridged Character Sheet to post there as well, which will also mean the one on this account will be redirected to it.

If you're confused, there's a little more information at my Patreon journal entry over at TheBoson. I feel that this is for the best, as the new sheet has had far more thought put into it that this one and, unlike the one I used to have here, will go on to have more updates. For more sheets, character resources, short stories, and teasers for my own story, you might go ahead and follow TheBoson as well. I rarely use this dehydromon account anymore and anyone who followed me here because of the Blank Character Sheet will be much happier with the content posted on that account than with anything that I will post here.

I hope this journal entry has helped clear things up. As always, thanks for checking in. dehydromon out.

Well look at that. dA has hit quite a milestone at 15 years old. Lots of crazy stuff has happened since then, like becoming the biggest art site on the internet and stuff. Still younger than me, though. Maybe it'll catch up one day.

How long have you been on DeviantArt?
On this account, 2553 days.

What does your username mean?
"dehydromon" was a little moniker I started using for myself way back in the days when I was totally in love with Digimon. I still am today, but to a lesser degree. I was trying to find an easy-ish name to pronounce that was already used in the show. A couple of words later, I settled on dehydromon. I used that as my main online name for years, but I've recently updated to and identify more as TheChugsBoson.

Describe yourself in three words.
Grandiloquent. Metacognitive. Penntransitphobic.

Are you left or right handed?
Right handed, though I can do simple stuff like math, picking my nose, and watching TV without using my right hand. I know. Crazy, right?

What was your first deviation?
I've actually deleted my first deviation since I first uploaded it, bit it was originally the pencil sketch of this guy, which itself was heavily based off of this sketch.

What is your favorite type of art to create?
That's easier asked than answered. Seems to change from time to time because I'm too undedicated to any single art style to linger on it long enough to call it my "favorite". I guess if I had to choose, writing would be the one that's stuck with me the longest. Digital art seems to be something I'm decent at as well, but I really want to take a deeper leap into music,

If you could instantly master a different art style, what would it be?
None of them. Being a master of an art style removes the potential for improvement, which to me is most important. I like to think that art is much more about the journey than the destination. Jumping straight to the destination takes away its value.

What was your first favorite?
Appropriately, it was the deviation I based my first deviation off of.

What type of art do you tend to favorite the most?
Lately? Almost exclusively pony art. (All of it has been designated to CloudPone for easier navigation.) But I suppose my favorite art type to gawk at is digital art.

Who is your all-time favorite deviant artist?
I'd be quite hard-pressed to single out a favorite, especially having not even touched the community or really immersed myself in the site to any degree in over a year. Ask me in a fortyear.

If you could meet anyone on DeviantArt in person, who would it be?
TheMightyOctaviator

How has a fellow deviant impacted your life?
I don't know how to answer that. Probably because it's beyond midnight and I'm too tired to cogitate that heavily. Maybe also because I don't want to answer it for some outwardly-deep and unnecessarily complicated reason. Just kidding. Next question.

What are your preferred tools to create art?
Whatever the medium demands at the time. Generally I prefer the standard keyboard and mouse, though. Cause literature and stuff.

What is the most inspirational place for you to create art?
Places away from the messy complications of common architecture. Places with no noise pollution, light pollution, or general manmade mettles. But sometimes modern architecture provides its own kind of inspiration. Just depends on the project.

What is your favorite DeviantArt memory?
Ah, the mysteries of life.

It didn't take long after that last journal before I started cracking down on getting through all my messages the right way (by reading/viewing as many as possible). Last update, I had 6896 deviations, 310 journal entries, and 535 feedback messages in my notification center. Feedback was probably the easiest part, since most of it was just returning llamas, which was easing with the 1-click llama extension. The only thing that stopped me from finishing that in one day was deviantART's llama spam filter, which meant I could only give about 100 llamas a day. Then deviations, which I admittedly deleted approximately 1000 of because it was all from the same group which this account doesn't focus on anymore. And then journals, many of which are very long, so they take much more time to go through.

Anyway, the point of this journal is to say that I may not actually have abandoned this account like I implied I did in October. I've got my message center down to 116 deviations, 266 deviantWATCH messages, and 42 feedback messages. I'm still not quite finished, but I'm a heck of a lot closer than I was when I thought I would probably just give up. So there is hope everyone!

Also, I might be getting much more serious about pumping out that overhauled version of my character resource for TheBoson, but since it's such a titanic project, I still wouldn't recommend holding your breath while you wait. I have a schedule for it, but we all know I can't do schedules very well, so it'll come out when it comes out, as always.

Why by dehydromon
As you can see, at some point I fell very far behind in my message center. It's kind of at that point where I don't really have any hope of going through every single one. But then, I also cna't bring myself to delete them all because I might miss something I really would have liked. Like a cool journal entry or that one artwork that inspires the crap out of me.

However, I do still frequently visit my other accounts. Mainly CloudPone and CardPone. This account still has some kind of relevance, I guess, although I reckon most of the stuff I'll be doing for a while will pertain primarily to content appropriate for those accounts. In the meantime, maybe this account might get some more traffic sometime, but if you really want to be able to communicate with me quickly, you'd best watch one of those accounts.
